Badge for bravery and Loyalty prototype, II class
The badge was instituted in 1941 by Quisling for special achievements for front service or special achievements within the party, Nasjonal Samling. The decoration was based on the iron cross and came in three classes. The german occupation forces did not accept this decoration because it competed with the Iron cross but they were produced anyway. This specimen is a prototype that was never approved, only six examples were made according to the document that is attached from 1961. This is an extremely rare piece.
