King Oscar II’s commemorative badge 1872-1897 was a medal to celebrate the kings 25 years of reign. The medal had three designs:
- The first was with gold wreath/crown and light blue enamel, it was awarded to members of the royal family and high officials at the swedish royal court and other prominent guests attending the celebration.
- The second was silver wreath/crown and dark blue enamel, it was awarded to the staff at the royal court
- The third was gold wreath/crown and red enamel, was awarded to high officials at the norwegian royal court
