Order of St Olav knight I class. The Royal Norwegian Order of Saint Olav was instituted by King Oscar I of Norway and Sweden on 21th of August 1847, as a distinctly Norwegian order. It is named after King Olav II, known to posterity as St. Olav. The badge is made of gold and it is a 1882 type made by Carlman and comes in the original case.
Condition: Very good exept for the enamel damage on the upper arm on the obverse. The case is poor but a rare and early case.
