About Northstar Militaria
A collector-led enterprise shaped by history, friendship and the international collecting community.
From a collecting passion to Northstar Militaria
Northstar Militaria was established in Sweden in 2014 as a natural extension of our own collecting.
Long before creating the business, we were active collectors who regularly attended militaria fairs, met fellow enthusiasts and gradually built both our collections and our knowledge.
For us, a militaria fair has never been simply a commercial event. It is primarily a social gathering — a place where collectors and friends meet, exchange knowledge, discuss history, trade objects, buy, sell and sometimes rediscover pieces that have passed through several collections.
This field is rarely about large profits. For many of us, it is a lifelong interest, a community and a way of life. Northstar Militaria grew from that environment and continues to be guided by the same collector-to-collector spirit.
History deserves curiosity, care and respect
We regard ourselves as collectors first. Every object is approached with curiosity, respect and an appreciation of the history it represents.
Orders, decorations, medals, uniforms and related historical objects are more than merchandise. Their value lies in their craftsmanship, provenance, historical context and the stories of the people and institutions connected to them.
Research and experience are therefore central to our work. We aim to describe objects carefully, photograph them clearly and share the information available to us in an open and responsible manner.
A personal collector-to-collector service
Authenticity & Research
Every object is examined and described with care, based on available knowledge, reference material and collecting experience.
Collector-to-Collector Service
We offer personal communication and straightforward information rather than impersonal high-volume retail.
Historical Respect
The objects we handle are presented as historical artefacts and preserved for research, collecting and future generations.
International Community
We welcome experienced collectors, institutions and those taking their first steps into the collecting field.
Collecting is built around people
Militaria fairs remain an important part of our activities. They allow us to meet customers and fellow collectors in person, renew friendships, discuss unusual objects and continue learning from others.
The collecting community is international, but it is also remarkably personal. Many long-standing contacts began with a conversation across a display table, an exchange of information or a shared interest in a particular country, period or type of decoration.
Our website is an extension of that experience. It allows collectors who cannot meet us at a fair to study our current inventory, view detailed photographs and contact us with questions.
History, knowledge and friendship
Whether you are searching for a particular object, researching an item already in your collection or beginning a new collecting field, you are welcome to contact us. We are always pleased to exchange information, discuss historical objects and assist fellow collectors whenever our experience may be useful.
