Over many years, Northstar Militaria has created an extensive digital image archive containing thousands of detailed photographs.
The archive includes objects previously handled or sold by us, as well as objects photographed for collectors, researchers and other private owners. Much of this material has never been published online.
These photographs preserve details that may otherwise be lost when objects change ownership, disappear into private collections or are separated from their original groups and documentation.

We are pleased to assist collectors, researchers, authors, museums and institutions whenever material in our archive may contribute to identification, comparison, historical research or publication.
Enquiries may concern a country, period, award, maker, recipient, manufacturing variation or individual object.
Although not every request can be fulfilled, we are always willing to examine the archive and determine whether relevant material is available.

Photographs from Northstar Militaria have appeared in magazines, specialist publications and reference books for many years.
We value responsible historical research and are pleased when our images can help document an object, illustrate a publication or improve the collective understanding of a particular field.
