This medal was a continuing of the The Meritorious Service Medal, wich in 1964 was ungraded to the Meritorious Service Medal with 10+ years served,  and a 5 year interval between next medal indicating years served.

Awarded to the Peoples Republics defence force, Workers militia and Borderguards

Bronze; 39 mm.; Enameled; with original ribbon and ribbon bar; in original case; Condition-1

This medal was awarded to master-sergeant József Varga, and comes with the original issue document that states the recipients right to wear the award.
