Awarded from 18.07.1949 to all the romanian soldiers (in 1958 also the Soviet occupation army received it) that fought against the Axis in 1944-1945. You have the common type marked on the reverse with RPR (Popular Romanian Republic). During the ’60 Nicolae Ceausescu awarded another medal marked RSR (Romanian Socialist Republic).
