The Order of Africa had two periods of validity, one between 1933 and 1939, during the Second Republic, and the other during the Franco dictatorship, since it was recovered in 1950.
It aimed to reward actions considered meritorious and beneficial to the general interest, which were carried out in the Spanish territories located on the African continent by civilian or military, metropolitan or indigenous officials. In 1977 it ceased to be granted.
It measures (width) 29 mm and (height) 59mm and comes with the original collar band. The enamel work is flawless and has no damages or scratches.
