Description

Central association of Command Training Merit medal was established in 1953. The Defence Educators (Swedish Defence Training Association) is a nationwide Swedish voluntary defence organization that gives people opportunities to develop capabilities and social responsibility while strengthening community protection and the ability to handle civil and military crises.

The defence trainers have about 27,000 members and consist of 23 regional federations and 14 nationwide associations with different competence orientations. The primary task is to recruit and train volunteers for agreements for the Armed Forces and parts of the emergency preparedness system‘s needs.

Defence trainers also conduct extensive youth activities and defence information.
