Description

The decoration was instituted to commemorate King Oscar II and Quenn Sophies gold wedding anniversary on 6 june 1907. It was designed by their son Prince Eugen, known as the painter prince. Bronze-gilt decoration in the oval form of the crowned inter twined cipher of King Gustaf V and Queen Sophia within a stylized laurel wreath with ring to the reverse of the crown for ribbon suspension.

On the laurel wreath the dates “1857” and “1907”. On original bow ribbon of the Order of the Seraphim with gilt stripes on the edges mounted for wear and in original case of issue with Carlmans maker’s mark on the inside of the lid. On the lid the dates “1857” and “1907” under a royal crown.
