The Swedish Naval Reserve Officers‘ Association (Svenska Flottans Reservofficersförbund, SFRO) has two decorations for awarding particularly meritorious contributions to SFRO or someone whom SFRO would otherwise particularly like to honour. The highest–ranking award is SFRO‘s merit medal in gold, which was established as early as 1950.
On June 13, 2006, SFRO‘s second award was established — the Swedish Naval Reserve Officers‘ Association merit medal in Silver — which can be awarded to the person who, without being awarded SFRO‘s Honorary Sign, — has done, or is doing SFRO great services, — has been active in SFRO‘s federal management, circuit management or operations for at least five years or — SFRO otherwise want to honour for special reasons.
